"60Million down the drain, Kai Havertz scores again"

Kai Havertz helped the Gunners move to the top of the Premier League table with his 89th-minute header assisted by Bukayo Saka with a cross. Arsenal are now one point ahead of Manchester City and two points clear of Liverpool.

Mikel Arteta's 200th game as Manager for Arsenal would have ended up in a draw if not for Kai Havertz's goal. The German forward replaced Martinelli in the 79th minute and 10 minutes later made an impact to seize the victory.

Arsenal also had a goal from Leandro Trossard canceled by VAR in the 42nd minute. Bukayo Saka's cross found Gabriel Jesus and the Brazil forward headed the ball towards the goal but it was saved by Flekken and the rebound was converted by Trossard. The Belgian forward gave Arsenal the lead with a headed goal from close range only for VAR to intervene and call it offside.

David Raya, on loan from Brentford, was ineligible to face his parent club and hence, Aaron Ramsdale was brought back into the starting XI. Ramsdale did a fine job but had a few nervy moments where Declan Rice and Oleksandr Zinchenko made goal-line clearances.

Ramsdale's performances prove he is ready to fight for his place with David Raya. But, Mikel Arteta has been trusting David Raya ever since the start of the season, and David Raya is expected to start in the Champions League match against Lens.

Arsenal's next premier league match will be against Wolves on December 2nd, 2023.
